The neighbourhood of Cancelada<\/strong> is the easternmost area of Estepona<\/a>, bordering with the municipality of Marbella<\/a>. Cancelada itself is like a tiny village located next to the highway A-7 and which retains its typical Andalusian character. The coastal part corresponding to Cancelada is El Saladillo and has a direct exit from the A-7.<\/p>\n

The neighbourhood is located between the two major destinations on the Costa del Sol<\/strong> for wealthy tourists, Marbella and Estepona. It has given its name also to the surrounding area which is home to some excellent golf courses and hotels.<\/p>\n

The area is heavily urbanized, both towards the mountains and along the coast. The developments are of refined appearance, with chalets and apartments with gardens stretching down to the beach. It is a quieter area and is more popular among families that choose Cancelada as their holiday residence. Golfers might find this location also optimal, because it is close to some of the best golf courses in Malaga.<\/p>\n

And a few minutes away in Marbella<\/a> you find the Atalaya Golf Club, Guadalmina Golf Club, Capanes del Golf, Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club, Los Naranjos Campo de Golf and Dama de Noche to mention only the westernmost Golf clubs since Marbella is exceptional for the quantity and quality of golf courses, like Estepona.<\/p>\n

The Hotel Villa Padierna 5*GL<\/strong> is one of the thirty best in the world according to the ratings. The building situated between a green rolling landscape resembles a Tuscan palace, surrounded by cypresses. The two thousand square meters neoclassic Spa is simply spectacular. Technically the hotel already belongs to the municipality of Benahavis but for its location just 3 km off the coast of Cancelada we include it here as well.<\/p>\n

On Playa del Saladillo is located an old XVI century watchtower, known as Saladillo Watchtower or Torre Lan\u00e7e del Saladillo<\/p>\n
